Anti-Racism at Shalom: Reparative Fund Pledge Form

in 2025-2026, Shalom invites you to participate in one way to address historic harms of racism -- to release some percentage of our wealth back to the Black community in the Harrisonburg area. We will collect pledges throughout the year, and eventually share those with two historic advocacy organizations who have agreed to receive them -- the Northeast Neighborhood Association and the Shenandoah Valley Black Heritage Project. 

Please read more about this project here if needed, and take time to prayerfully consider and share with Shalom's Anti-Racism Team what you could pledge to give and in what time frame. Individual names and amounts will be kept private.

Our Anti-Racism Team will remind the congregation routinely of this project during 2026 and check in with those who have pledged about when and how to follow through with donations to the fund. Money will not be transferred to SVBHP / NENA until later in 2026.
